Our Story

Founded in 2007 by Phillip and Jenny, Innovative Arms started with a clear goal. They wanted to build high-performing products. They also wanted to provide exceptional customer service. At the same time, they aimed to add innovation to everything they made.

Phillip’s love for firearms began as a child. He spent hours sketching designs and building models from cardboard and wood. Neighborhood kids loved them and often paid fifty cents for a model. Because of this early passion, the foundation for Innovative Arms was already in place.

As he grew, Phillip became a machinist tool maker. However, the corporate shop felt restrictive. He wanted to bring his own designs to life. With Jenny’s encouragement, the couple made a bold choice. Together, they left their jobs and entered the firearm industry.

Our Beginnings

At that time, Phillip and Jenny had two young children and limited savings. Still, they moved forward. They rented a small Connex container with only electricity and a water spigot. There was no bathroom, but a gas station was nearby. With less than $2,000, they bought a used manual lathe and mill. The machines barely fit, but the container became the foundation of their business.

Despite humble beginnings, Phillip’s skill and the couple’s determination quickly attracted customers. People from across the country sought their services. They came for barrel threading, refinishing, and precision rifle builds. As a result, business grew quickly. Yet the heavy workload left Phillip little time for new designs. His dream of true innovation had to wait.

Shifting Focus

Soon, Phillip and Jenny realized gunsmithing was not their ultimate path. Therefore, they shifted focus. They committed fully to developing Phillip’s firearm innovations. The transition was not easy, but it led to new breakthroughs.

Phillip’s ideas soon took shape. He created silencer core designs and the Warfighter Adjustable Upper Receiver. In addition, he introduced the Exoskeleton Shroud for silencers, the pocket pistol sight upgrade, and Ruger LCP drop-in conversion barrels. Most notably, they launched the Interceptor rifle silencer line with its fast-attach system. This became one of their proudest achievements.

Where We Are Today

Now in their fifties, Phillip and Jenny look back with pride. Married for decades, they see their journey reflected in their company and in their children. Their kids have grown into hardworking, successful adults. As a result, perseverance, quality, and innovation continue to define both family and business.

Over the years, Innovative Arms has earned multiple patents and trademarks. These milestones show Phillip’s inventive drive and the company’s dedication to advancing firearm technology. Even today, Phillip continues to dream up new ideas, ensuring an exciting future.
